Kelly Davies is a lawyer based in Sydney. She focuses her practice on the development, acquisition and financing of energy projects. She works closely with energy clients on all aspects of their business and advises on energy transactions both internationally and domestically across the energy sector.
She has advised clients across all levels of the power sector including generators, producers, transmission and distribution network operators, retailers and regulators. She has extensive experience on PPAs across a number of jurisdictions globally including the UK, Africa, Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Australia.
Her recent experience includes advising on a number of renewables projects in Australia across different States and in PNG and Fiji. Kelly has a broad and deep understanding of the IPP and power purchase agreement markets and project risk and deliverability on a contracted and merchant basis. Her recent experience acting on a number of renewables projects gives her a depth of understanding about the key issues on these projects and the timely implementation of solutions to align debt and equity risks and enable these projects to be developed.
