Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has ranked 22nd this year in the Stonewall Workplace Equality Index; the third year it has been included in the top 100. Norton Rose Fulbright is also one of the top five law firms included in the rankings.

The index measures the efforts of Britain’s employers to tackle discrimination and promote inclusive and supportive workplaces for lesbian, gay and bisexual employees. The index assesses how employers perform in both policy and practice, from employee training on discrimination issues to the visibility of LGBT role models within the business.

Owen Mulholland, banking partner and senior champion of Norton Rose Fulbright’s Pride employee resource group commented:

“It is a great achievement to have risen 53 places in the ranking and we are proud to have been included in the top 100 for the third year running. This demonstrates our commitment to driving sexual orientation equality forward. We strive to promote equality in the workplace.”

Ruth Hunt, Chief Executive, Stonewall said:

“Norton Rose Fulbright and all of those employers that secured a place in the Stonewall Top 100 Employers 2016 list performed fantastically this year. We have had more submissions than ever before and so making the list is a huge achievement. I’d like to thank all of those organisations for their continued efforts to ensure that their lesbian, gay, bi and trans staff feel comfortable to bring their whole selves to work and are accepted without exception”.

Norton Rose Fulbright's Pride employee resource group is sponsored by Owen Mulholland and ally Mike Rebeiro. It is co-chaired by Laura Hodgson and Jamie Morton.
