Employment and labor lunch and learn

Lunch seminar

October 2, 2018 | 11:15 am - 1:00 pm CT | San Antonio, TX, US | Accreditation 1.50 CLE

Come join us for our bi-annual San Antonio lunch and learn session where we will explore the latest "hot" developments and trending business practices since our last get together in April.

This presentation will highlight everything you need to know to better prepare you and your business as we head into the fourth quarter of this year and the start of a new year. You won't want to miss it.

Topics will include:

  • Paid sick leave – San Antonio just got it but will it survive legal challenge? Austin got it but it was challenged and now it's on hold. The state leg is waiting in the wings to undo it. Meanwhile, the feds are thinking of jumping in. What's going on?
  • Wage and hour compliance – Just when you thought you had it down, the feds are considering new requirements.
  • Trade secrets and non-disclosure agreements – Best practices concerning a complicated issue.

Continuing education information:

We have applied for Minimum Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) credit with the State Bar of Texas Committee on MCLE in the amount of 1.50 hours.

We will apply to the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy for 1.50 hours of CPE credit. We have registered with the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy as a CPE sponsor. This registration does not constitute an endorsement by the Board as to the quality of our CPE program.

We have applied for 1.50 recertification credit hours toward PHR and SPHR recertification through the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI).
