Reforming the residential leasehold market

Lunch seminar

November 2, 2017

The government has published a consultation on tackling unfair practices in the leasehold market, many of which have been hitting the headlines. Andrew Sheftel, senior knowledge lawyer and a Chairman of the Leasehold Valuation Tribunal, will look at the problems that have been identified, the proposals for reform – which include prohibiting the sale of leasehold houses and limiting increases in ground rents – and some of the practical implications for developers, lenders and purchasers. This is a training talk for the Norton Rose Fulbright real estate team and clients are welcome to attend.

Registration and lunch from 11.45, the seminar commences at 12.00
